Whale and dolphin watching trips in Tenerife – don’t miss this fantastic opportunity!
The “must do” for every tourist is a whale and dolphin watching trip on Tenerife. In one of the most popular places in the world you can experience a wonderful adventure. You are in company with whales and dolphins nearly face to face in the crystal clear blue water.
You´d like to relax in the sun, swim in beautiful, lovely surroundings and have a nice day on the Atlantic ocean? Try Tenerife Yacht Sailing! It is a wonderful and exciting excursion for everyone! Let the wind whip your hair back and forth as you gaze out across the clear azure waters of Southern Tenerife in the Canary Islands on a 3-hour cruise, sunset tour or the private charter. Along with a maximum of 12 other cruise mates, you will have plenty of space on board a luxury yacht to see the beauty of nature along the coastline and in the water.
The area around the Canary Islands has petitioned to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and even without the official certification, you will soon discover why this part of the world is so beloved. Look out for dolphins and pilot whales playing joyfully in the wake of your ship, and look up for the bird life high above. This is nature at its best, and your captain will be sure to point out the most populated dolphin and whale spots along the way. If you have never had a chance to experience these magnificent creatures up close, it is an experience you will never forget.
After navigating the open waters, anchor in a secluded bay where you can swim with the turtles, or just relax and enjoy a free snack and drink.
We can also pick you up and return you to your hotel on request. Please note there is no pick-up from, Puerto de la Cruz or the north of the island. Please request your pick-up a minimum of 24 hours prior to your departure.
Our adventure is about to start, are you joining? See you on board… and get your camera ready!

On average, you can go whale and dolphin watching on 8 out of 10 days, and the chances of actually seeing these mammals is nearly 99%. That’s because Tenerife has resident populations of bottlenose dolphins and short-finned pilot whales, which can be spotted on our shorelines throughout the year. Other species are also easy to spot depending on the time of year, especially in May and June.

To ensure you fully enjoy your trip, don’t forget to take sunscreen, binoculars and some form of sea sickness remedy if you think you might need it. Being out at sea and the rocking motion of the boat make the temperature feel cooler, so it is also a good idea to bring some warmer clothing.
